Our Main Focus: Integrative Projects

We organize events that foster encounters and mutual understanding. In the Wiedikon district in Zurich the VSJF together with the city of Zurich and the congregation Agudas Achim organized an extraordinarily successful event about the Jewish orthodox approach. In an open forum non-Jews had the opportunity to get answers to their most urgent questions regarding orthodox Jewish everyday life. This event greatly contributed to a mutual understanding.

Since March 2001 up to 12 knowledge-hungry kids from migrant families have been visiting the extracurricular tutoring sessions lead by suitable volunteers. Those migrant kids from the district Zurich-Enge also receive special help with their language. Here we can greatly draw on our significant experience by providing assistance to recognized refugees of all religious denominations in all sectors of their daily lives, and by lending support towards their integration.
