International relations

In its role as the head organization of the Jewish congregations in Switzerland, the SIG cultivates intensive connections with Jewish and non-Jewish international organizations.

The SIG is represented on the executive boards of both the European Jewish Congress and of the European Council of Jewish Communities. During the present term of office the SIG provides both vice-presidents - with Prof. Alfred Donath in the EJC, and with Gabrielle Rosenstein in the ECJC.

The European Jewish Congress brings together all national head organizations of the Jewish congregations in Europe. The EJC represents its members at the World Jewish Congress, which is headquartered in New York, USA. The European Council of Jewish Communities assembles all the large communities, institutions and organizations to a network.
